Looking for a healing drink that helps your skin from within? This delicious, fresh aloe leaf tonic is a tasty way to aid your whole body.
Did you know that aloe can purify the blood, reduce inflammation, ease arthritis pain, prevent kidney stones, lower high cholesterol, prevent Candida, boost physical endurance, benefit cardiovascular health, and protect the body from oxidative stress?

As a bonus, when I’m done making my aloe tonic (recipe below), I often will use the remaining aloe still on the stalk and rub it all over my face and body. It is incredibly hydrating. I also have extremely sensitive skin and fresh aloe does not make me break out. Aloe really is an incredible, nourishing plant.
Aloe Tonic Recipe
- 1 fresh aloe leaf
- 8 to 16-ounces of coconut water (plain spring water will also work)
*Fresh aloe leaves can be found in the produce section of most supermarkets.
- Cut a 2-inch piece off the aloe leaf.
- Scrape out the gel with a knife or spoon. Place the gel in a blender with 8 to 16-ounces of coconut or spring water.
- Blend on high for ~20 seconds.
- Drink immediately on an empty stomach for optimal benefits.
Tip: Wrap up your remaining aloe leaf. It will stay good for up to two weeks in the fridge to be used as needed.
