Magnesium baths and/or epsom salt baths have been all the rage of late and I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

So, I decided to experiment with magnesium chloride flake foot-baths for one week. I really wasn’t expecting much. But I have terrible anxiety and I’ll pretty much try anything.

One week has passed and the results were astounding. I want to tell you all about my experience. But first, let’s get to the process.

How-To Magnesium Foot Bath

I bought a 10-pound bag of magnesium chloride flakes from Amazon because I heard magnesium chloride is the most easily absorbed type of magnesium so it actually gets into your bloodstream and your body absorbs what it needs.

For 20 minutes each night before bed, I soaked my feet in 1 cup of magnesium flakes in a dish tub (because it’s easy and portable) filled with warm distilled water while finishing up work for the day and/or reading. It honestly was such a relaxing experience, I started to look forward to it each day.

It’s an inexpensive way to show yourself a little self-care.

Alternatively, you can also use olive oil or essential oils to add little luxe to the experience.

My Results

After just one week, I experienced almost all of the results listed above. I’m not kidding, I have panic attacks almost daily. Now after utilizing the magnesium baths, I realize that I must have been extremely magnesium deficient. I have not have a panic attack in a week, my mood feels so much more stable, my heart rate isn’t all over the place, I have chronic back pain that has lessened immensely. My sleep has been more deep. I am calmer, much more level-headed. I haven’t had crazy mood swings.

If it sounds like a miracle, believe me, I think so, too. I honestly feel so much more at peace and it’s all due to a simple mineral.
